Mackinac Island Trip...

Looks like we'll be traveling to northern Michigan in late-July. We'll be staying about 2 hours south of Mackinaw City, but would like to take a couple of days to travel the area.

Suggestions?

What should we do and not do?

We're headed up that way at that time too. It's gorgeous!

Are you headed to the island? The fort?

We're camping up that way. HOw about you?

If you have never been to the island, you will want to take a day or two and go. Ride bikes around the island, shop, visit the fort.

I have no idea what to do up that way nor where to stay up there? Inexepensively.

Any suggestions?

My in-laws have some land with a trailer in Lewiston, MI. But I wanted to take a day and go up north and stay the night up there.

I wondered about Petoskey, too? Anything up there that is a must? I've never been up there before.
