I'm close to broke this month and am trying to rack my brain for mothers day ideas. I have my mom, mother-in-law and step mother-in-law to think about. Any ideas for gifts to make for low cost with high appeal? Would appreciate any/all ideas you have!!! :dunno::hmm::dunno::hmm:

Framed Pictures or a Framed Collage of pictures.
This (http://kelleighratzlaff.com/featured/easy-inexpensive-and-classy-photo-gift/) idea is cute.

Do you live close by to any of them?
How about making a pan of cinnamon rolls and delivering on Mothers Day "eve" that they can pop in the oven for fresh cinnamon rolls on Mother's Day morning?
Do you have any crafting supplies ? Without knowing what you have on hand, it's hard to give appropriate suggestions... making a mini photo album or mother's bracelet or coupon booklet for things you could do for them (do they need help with weeding flowerbeds/yardwork, running errands, tea time together, etc.
Family Fun magazine / website often has clever ideas. http://familyfun.go.com/mothers-day/mothers-day-cards-gifts/
handmade notecards made with rubber stamps
or use watercolors on watercolor paper to create abstract art. Cut each paper into smaller squares/rectangles than the folded cardstock card front and adhere the watercolor paper.
I made a clipboard for my sister one year...I think I found the clipboard at the dollar store and pretty sure you can get scrapbook papers there, too. Used a bit of modgepodge and decorated the clipboard.

do you have a local thrift store nearby? goodwill or the like...
see if you can find a nice/unique and inexpensive planter (or maybe you even have something around home you could re~purpose?!) and fill it with inexpensive plants - pansies or whatever are on sale. Or fill with dirt and plant with seeds (might be less expensive, especially if you are doing more than one?) then craft a "plant marker / card" out of popsicle stick and paper or you could put the card in the twines of a fork (bought at the thrift store, as well), putting the fork handle down into the soil.

I'm knitting some washcloths for my mom. She loves getting tins of homemade cookies, too.
I like the photo collage idea. I might borrow that idea for my parents' anniversary party this summer. The decorated breakfast tray sounds like a nice Mother's Day gift.
