DS was off for the last month on break b/c it's like a school type setting. He went into his room, said hi to his teacher and began to play. He had to be prompted by Ms. Barbara to tell me bye! He is so comfortable there. That is a good thing but I'd like a bye at least! LOL
I got another mom involved with the group through our speech therapist. Our kids have the same one and my speech therapist was asking about the group to give another lady info on it and I told her to give the lady my email which she did. Her DS is in my DS's classroom and we got to talk in the parent room. She is at the start (like JUST diagnosed last month) of her ASD journey so she had a bunch of questions. It felt good to help her. Another mom was having a hard day (her DS is getting diagnosed at the end of the month) and we comforted her.
I love going there. I feel like I belong b/c everyone has a kid that has issues and many are ASD. I don't feel like the odd mom out for once!
I am so blessed to have the group therapy a part of our lives!
