anyone have a child with oppositional defiant disorder

I am starting to believe this is what my middle 2 children have....
I used to work with 2 different children with this and have read "THE EXPLOSIVE CHILD" also.
I have been doing research online and think maybe just maybe this would explain some of their behavior.
My brother had SUPER BAD ADHD growing up and as I look back, I am SURE he also had ODD!
If you have a child or know of one with this disorder... how did you/they first get their child diagnosed and how did they/you finally come to realize there was an issue????

I do not.
But I had a friend in Houston whose child was diagnosed originally with ADHD. Then a few years later, the same child psychologist who was prescribing meds for her ADHD, also diagnosed her with ODD. I'm not sure about all the details, but I know they were experiencing many behavior problems with their dd, and were doing family counseling sessions with this psych when he diagnosed the ODD.

my insticts were right on.... we are doing more tesing for ODD and PDD ... getting her into early child ed and working with the school....
OH< this is sooo much to deal with right before the holidays!
