what would you think of this comment on a note from ds teacher?
"Daydreaming in class and not following instructions"
It made me laugh. I am sorry but I found it funny. That's him. That's the way he is.
I guess we need to have a parent/teacher meeting before conferences next week.

:biglaugh:
Like that was a shocker???? :giggle: How about telling you something that you didn't know?? :biglaugh:
That would be like a teacher telling me my DS continues to get up and walk around. Ummmm...yeah....AND....:giggle:

It's nice of her to keep you informed of his daily activities! Some teachers take a bit of time to catch on don't they?

Well, does that mean she finds it to be unusual behavior?
Or is she just now bringing it up?
It would make me laugh too, but I agree a conference is in order - just to assess how the teacher feels about it.

so this is the class that has been surviving on subs as their teacher has been out on medical leave, since the beginning of school.
I went in this morning and apparently that was this new teacher's first day. She had not had a chance to look at the files and really be up to speed on her kiddos. :dunno:
So, that makes me feel better. I had no idea they had once again changed subs. This makes #4. :gaah:
She did assure me that she will be there for the duration, even if the other teacher is not able to return. She is a certified teacher too so that is a good thing
I was impressed though. First grade and it was quiet, all at their desks, working hard. In an odd way, after having her teach for a day or 2 and not know her kiddos and getting a note like that- it reassured me that he needs his modifications, etc.
I am still struggling with the whole denial phase.
