It was a really interesting movie. They dealt with some older ideas in a kids' package. My kids really liked it and they are 6 and 9 yo, but I'm not sure they "got" all the messages in the movie, kwim. I guess what I am saying is that it is a rather deep movie. The kids will like all the neat stuff about the store, etc. but parents may like the deeper message involved. I don't want to give anything away. The magic in it is more like kids' pretend rather than say a Chronicles of Narnia or Harry Potter type magic. I'd give it a thumbs up, but I wouldn't take really tiny kids, say under 5 yo, to it as I don't know if they'd sit through it all. :dunno:

Thanks for your input. The critics were giving it a thumbs down around here (tv). I don't usually listen to them anyhow. They were comparing it to a Willy Wonka type of movie. :dunno:
