Saw an ad at yesterday for Horton Hears A Who

with Jim Carrey.

I have not let my kids see the Jim Carrey version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas was I thought it was a little too much for them to handle. Way more evil than the cartoon version.

I can't tell from the Horton ad if it will be a cartoon or real people but I am so afraid with it being Jim Carrey it will NOT be child friendly.

I truly think that Jim is a very talented actor but why does he have to take great children's literature and turn it around this way. I love Dr. Seuss and am disappointed with the way the movie industry and Jim have changed it to suit them.

I think this is supposed to be animated and he is just the voice of Horton. My very favorite Seuss story is Hortan Hatches an Egg, and Horton Hears a Who is a close 2nd! :) I can't wait for the movie to come out. I'm not sure if my kids want to see it with me or not! :biglaugh:

Ditto everything in this post! My mom said, "oh you can take I. to see it." I was thinking, "no I want to see it!"
