Or a Cuttlebug(is that one of these things?) Or a Xenon(is that?) machine?
I saw a commercial for a Cricut last night and I want one! Tell me the pros/cons of these things if you can! Help educate me please!?
Thanks!!!

The only thing I didn't really like (other than the price, but I think they are coming down) is that the mat part that you stick the paper to while it's being cut has to stay sticky or the paper will slide under pressure from the blade and move around.
I only used my friend's machine, but we trashed some paper in a bad way because her little mat wasn't very sticky anymore.
Maybe they've improved that though, it was probably a year ago that I played with hers.
A friend of mine wants something called a Wish Blade. She thinks it's better than a Cricut, but I think they're more like $400 too.

I have a Cuttlebug and love it! It embosses and die cuts. It was around $60 on sale. The different patterns for embossing and cutting range from about $4-18. Overall, I think it's great and really enjoy using it! :)

I have one! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is totally cool!
If your paper is getting messed up on the mat then adjust the pressure settings. It will stop.
I love it because there is no paper waste and I don;t have to deal with messy stamps or buy tons of letter stickers anymore! :dance2:

I have had a cricut for a couple years now and find it to be one of my best investments for scrapbooking and doing stuff for the kids' classrooms. I work at a scrapbook store and have seen the xyron. I would not want it, as it limits you to a very small selection of sizes. Just my opinion, though. Yes, I love my cricut!

I got a cricut for Christmas and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. They have software now that so you can design you diecut on the computer and then the cricut will cut it out. If you have the software it says that you can use fonts that are on your computer.
I didn't know they had the software. We started looking for it when my husband was looking at my cricut and said, "Hey do you know they have a USB port on the back of this thing?" ;-)

I've got both the Cricut and Cuddlebug and I LOVE them!!
I use the Cuttlebug mainly for the embossing folders. They have got some really good ones out right now.
My cricut is the best thing that has come out in the world of scrapbooking. My only suggestion is to buy it from a scrapbook store or Walmart. The infomerical one is priced WAY too high!!
