I know I'm a little late in the year (1/2 way through January) but God's been working on me about what I need to work on.
I guess that the theme for my goals would be to "Choose Health". Spiritual, mental, and physical health, above my own wants or desires or laziness.
Spiritual Health: Last night the pastor gave a sermon in it he was talking about the importance of being in the Word and praying every single day. He said, "there is absolutely no excuse for not being in the Word every day" and I was really convicted. I so desparately want to be a Spiritually sound, woman of God and example for my daughter-- but have taken no action to do so, just sort of hoping it will happen.
So, I resolve, that in 2008, I will be in the Word, at some point, every day. I also will put aside time to focus on God and pray to him.
Physical Health: I will maintain an active lifestyle (whether that is playing with my kid, washing my car, or running) and will be focusing and praying that my mindset regarding food will turn to a "eat to fuel" mentality. That treats will be treats, not regular occurences, and that I will stop when I am satisfied.
Mental health: Should be helped by a prayerful lifestyle. I will focus on what God has given me rather than on what I lack.
