These are historical fiction books. They are novellas, each one about 170 pages or so. There are five: one based on the life of: Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba, and Mary (mother of Jesus)
The author is very upfront that they are works of fiction based on the bible. So definately not books to take and use as study guides or anything.
But overall, I really liked them. They helped me to connect more emotionally to the women they are about.
I really liked how the author intermingles scripture into the book too.
Also, at the back of each book, there is a bible study on each woman.
Very good, overall!
