I now have 3 special needs boys on my team. 2 Autistic (1 is borderline Aspergers - the other is Autistic) I know 1 of the mom's - we're friends. The other is a new boy. I'm not familiar with working with this form of Autism. He did fine in our book time. He memorized a verse and completed 1 section (writing) in the start zone. But during hockey, he flailed his arms and just walked around. Could it be the excitement? :hmm: I'm going to call his house later today and talk with his family to see what I can do to help him.
My other boy does not have a "label". But needs special help none the less.
I have my hands full. Wondering if anyone here helps special needs children in any capacity.
(The Lord just blessed me with the 3rd boy last night. I'm really pondering over this. Wondering what He has in store for me.)
