it was a very good feel good movie about a kid who created his own world of being from MARS to deal with the pain and memory of being abandoned and hurt by his parents, John Cusack's charater is a science fiction writer and a widower and adopts the boy, it's about his fight to help the boy while trying to convience the social workers that he is a good dad for this boy. even my dh liked the movie.
