We just got back from a trip to Carolina Beach, NC. We loved it. (5-7-08 thru 5-9-08). Nice time of year to travel there.

It was a very nice place and reasonable,too.
I recommend the aquarium at Fort Fisher, The ferry from Fort Fisher to Southport, and the USS NC in Wilimington. All have reasonable rates of admission.
The pier at Kure beach was neat and free,too !
