Anyone know if it would be appropriate for a 6yo boy? Or even what it's rated?

Julie I have seen the trailers and decided not to take Daniel who is 5 1/2.
Rated: PG-13 [See Full Rating] for sequences of intense action violence, some frightening sci-fi images, and brief suggestive content
It just seemed very loud and angry in the previews. Lots of destruction. Now will I let him watch it? Probably at home. If Kenny decides to take him. I will not voice out against it. I just decided for myself all that loud screaming, buildings crashing I just am not going LOL.

The trailers I have seen look AWFUL! It looks like they have completely twisted the story...
What about Kung Fu Panda? I know nothing about it, just a suggestion.
If you can still find Horton playing somewhere, it is hysterical!

Kung Fu Panda was awesome and completely family friendly! and totally
I want to see the new Hulk movie simply because I love Ed Norton, he is a great actor. but it isn't for younger kids. I too hate the marketing of PIRATES (my favorite movies of all time) to small kids who can't see it, or Speed Racer, or Hulk, even Transformers. thankfully my ds understands that toys are often created to go with a movie, but it doesn't mean a kid needs to see the movie. He has see the first Pirates movie, but will have to wait to see the others when he is older, and Transformers he can see in a year or so. Really we just told him frankly that movie people like to market movies to get more people to watch them by selling cereal boxes, toys, etc with the movie on it and that just because you like the toys doesn't mean you need to see the movie that inspired the toys. I'll tell him the basic storyline of the movies so he can "play with his toys the right way" (he wants to match the story line) and for now that seems to work. I am sure it will be harder when he is in school next year with older kids too.
