I will be making and selling baby items at a craft show this fall. Only problem is, I can't decide on what to make. I am huge into sewing and scrapbooking, so it would have to be things along those lines. I think I'll be making sock monkeys and some blankets, but sure could use some other ideas on things you think might sell well. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Diaper wipes, rag quilts, small quilts with tibbons attached for textures, burp rags, bibs. I have some pics of ones I do if that would help.

Those covers for putting over a cart while shopping are really neat. I've thought of trying to lean to make my own to sell of those. Also, a tie on high chair seat, that you tie onto a regular chair but secures the baby.
I adore little girl dresses with matching hats. Those floppy brimmed ones with the front pulled up and secured with a flower are so adorable. :)

Something that someone made our kids was a wash cloth sewn to a towel. It makes a cute hood out of the washcloth & is a great size for wrapping up a wiggly baby in.

I have one of those towels with a wash cloth sewn in the middle to make a hood. I've been using it for 5 years and LOVE it. I would totally buy one for a baby gift. That same woman took I think a handtowel, cut it in two then sewed them together to make a washcloth mitt. That's wonderful too.

MommaK you rock! Thanks for spending the time to send me the pictures. I am especially intrigued with those tag toys...didn't have anything like them when my boys were small. Thanks so much for sharing the info!

Burp cloths are always necessary. You could make light-weight blankets from a single layer with a lace edging. I got tons of those for my first baby (summer birth)
Whatever you choose, just keep it simple.

How about a little sign that hangs on the door that says "Baby Sleeping".
Some one gave us one and we still have it. It's a little pillow with a ribbon hanger and Baby Sleeping. It's not homemade but you could design something like that.
Use pink trim or blue trim or yellow or green to put decorations on it.
It's very simply made. The one we have is in the shape of a heart but you could make a square or rectangle or circle.
It's only about4 -5 inches across.

Those are some fabulous ideas!! I've got to wrap my head around them now, and head to the fabric store. I don't know how I will choose though. I'm intriqued with those tag/ribbon toys and those little baby sleeping pillows sound really cute. I want to make some hooded towels and some cute burp rags, but golly, when will I get this all done? I've really neglected my house while I worked on a few projects, so I've got to figure out how to get it all done at once without farming all the housework off to my boys...not fair for them!
