Presleys Music show is my favorite! (kids will like it too)

silver dollar city is good, esp w the kids

Shepherd of the Hills is good too (a play and historic site you can tour)

I like to eat at Charlie's Steak and Ale (pretty reasonable price too), and Fudd Ruckers - both on the main drag

In nearby Springfield MO is the big Bass Pro Shop, and Lambert's restaurant - really fun and good.

We go there evry year on Vacation - don't know where to say to stay, dh's gma has a mobile home down there, so we stay free.

We (my parents, me and my girls and we are trying to talk Di and her girls) are going there for Spring break. We will be staying at my parents timeshare place.

I really don't know much of what is there anymore. It has been several years (before I got married and my niece was born) since I have been there.

We will do most of our cooking at the house/condo whatever it is. :giggle:

We are also dealing with a 6, 4 and 7 month old, besides Di's girls at 15 and 12 so we have a wide age range.

Silver Dollar City! You must must must do this! And, if you're a AAA member, I think you can buy two days for $40.

We stay at Deer Run: http://www.bransondeerrun.com/ Always been very nice and clean. They have a complimentary breakfast...cereal, donuts, coffee, juice, toast, eggos. It's extremely affordable and off the main road as it's just a mile south of Silver Dollar City....so traffic isn't so bad.

I've heard the Titanic experience is well worth it....if it's still there.

Have fun!

If the weather is cold, Splash Country at Grand Country Inn is a good alternative (inside water park - not huge, but warm). We don't really care for the hotel, although Building A gets you the closest to the waterpark, the amenities just aren't great with it being an older hotel. The Branson Landing has great shopping for everyone in the family also. There are plenty of outlet stores as well. Silver Dollar City is always a must for our family. Make sure you check to see which days they are open, though.

If you are hungry, Lambert's is the place to go!!! Big Cedar Lodge has restaurants that are excellent, they are priced on the higher end of things.

dh and I used to live there from 92 - 96.

If you want to go to church while you are there, Branson First baptist is an excellent church! It's right on the corner of hwy 76 (the main drag) and main hwy 65.

We still have friends who perform in different shows there. A friend of mine performs in a trio called Sons of the Silver Dollar. They perform at Silver Dollar City.

There are lots of arcade type places too so the kids would love that.

It's changed a lot I'm sure since we've been there but it's still a fun place.
