Board Name - Bronte73 (would forget if I changed it and then wonder why I couldn't log in! :p )
Previous Board Name (if applicable) -
State - Ohio (for now)
Children - 2 sons, ages 5 and 8 yo
Birthday (month and day) - Feb. 18th
Anniversary - May 29 (married 14 years on Tues)
Hobbies/Interests - Reading, old movies, animals, decorating cakes, writing, Bible study and sharing my passion for studying the Bible with other women
Favorite Children's Book - Anne of Green Gables and My Side of the Mountain
Best Parenting Tip - Love your child in the way THEY feel loved; become a student of your child so you can better guide and teach them
Best Marriage Advise - Dh's need unconditional respect and they can't read your mind (it also doesn't mean they don't love you because they can't read your mind!)
Best Household Tip - Have a routine so things get done but don't be ruled by your routine. Decide how clean/tidy your house needs to be and do that; don't try to live up to someone else's ideals.
Best Money Saving Tip - If it is just a want, wait a while before going back to buy - usually the impulse goes away
How you found Hearts at Home or the Board - Heard Jill Savage on Focus on the Family
Personal Testimony - My Grams led me to the Lord at about 2 a.m. when I was 5 yo. I grew up in a Christain home, attended church all my life and went to Christian school and college. But about 6 years ago, I came across Kay Arthur's How to Study your Bible. Learning to study God's Word on my own has changed my life. God has been so gracious and patient with me as I stumble my way along. Now I feel I KNOW God rather than just know about Him. I can say now that Jesus truly is my best friend.
Other Comments - The women on this board are awesome prayer warriors. I know if I have a need and ask for prayer, they are faithful to pray. It is so true that where some are gathered there is power, even if we are gathered in cyberspace! :)
