Any suggestions or can't miss attractions? We will be there 7 days and have the park hopper w/ water park passes. This is the first time we've taken the kids so everyone is really excited. They are 9, 7, and 5.

Oh, you'll have SO much fun. We took dks when they were 5, 5, and 8. We had a blast! We went again when they were 10, 10 and 13. The 2nd time we went to Typhoon Lagoon and LOVED it.

Have a blast!

buy those water mist fans BEFORE you enter the park. They are great at cooling you off while waiting in lines and in the park they cost $17 and up each. Using a backpack to carry your stuff would be helpful too, keeps your hands free to hold the kids. If your kids are small enough you might want to rent a stroller, they were big enough to hold my 8 yo at the time and our toddler.

Most of all have a great time! :D

but lots of the other Girl Scouts I was with encouraged me to do the roller coasters, and I don't regret that.

Pirates of the Carribean has been there for years, that's a don't miss from what I can remember. :)

and that was just to Magic Kingdom.

I hope you have LOTS of fun, though.

Oh, one suggestion is you can go to the outlet malls around Orlando to buy Disney souvenirs. These are souvenirs that have been cycled out of the park and are much cheaper to purchase off-site than in the park, anyway. We got lots of good deals at one store we went. I wish I could remember the name of the mall where that store was. It's been over 6 years since we were there.

Typhoon lagoon and the water parks. I love all the rides and went as many times as I could. Older kids liked Tower or Terror. Have alot of fun!

I appreciate the ALL of the tips, especially the money saving ones! We spent some time online last night mapping out the rides and attractions we don't want to miss. We are so excited!

We went last January. We took our girls who were 7,5,3 at the time. What a blast!!

Have you checked out any websites? Sorry if I'm repeating here, but here were a few I really spent a lot of time at when we were planning.

disboards.com it's a bulletin board community...LOTS of good advice and recommendations

themouseforless.com it's a good place to pinch a few pennies.

Have fun! I could go on and on and on !! We LOVED Disney!!! I've got tons more if you want to inbox me. I could fill up a whole forum on my rambling :)

Thanks for the website recommendations! I did look at one where people filmed while they were on the rides. The kids really liked that one! I'm going to take a peek at yours later!

Have a MARVELOUS time!

We're going at the end of the summer. Haven't booked yet but looking at end of August or sometime in September. We homeschool so have a bit more flexibility with scheduling. (although kids will miss some of their extra-curricular things doing it this way)

Anyhoo.... I've never been there.

I find the books/websites overwhelming but so exciting too!

Our kids are 10, 9 and 7. If we go at the end of Aug, we'll be there for oldest's 11th bday. That would be neat.

I think y'all will have a great time.

GO LEFT! Everybody goes into the park and goes right... go left instead! It really saved us a ton of time in line when we went!

I've been reading this sight recently and came upon your thread. I was talking to my neighbor recently who is a travel agent. She said that Disney is offering free dining plans to people that are traveling in July and August.
I'm not sure of the exact dates and the weather isn't always the greatest, but if you plan on going around this time it might be worth looking into.
