I see a handful of names that I dont recognize, so now that I've been on here a few times lately, I thought a re-introduction was in order. :)
I have been on the board since my now 5 yr old was just 8 months. The more active she gets, the less computer time I seem to have, which is why I'm not on here as much as I used to be. I am an adoptive mother to one. Been married for 8 1/2 years. Believed in God as a young child, about 6 yrs old, but didnt start truly walking with Him or understanding Him until I was about 26 yrs old- 8 years ago.
Board Name - teamsterwife
State - West Coast state
Children - One five yr old who I often refer to as "Lil D" on this board
Birthday (month and day) - December 21st
Anniversary - Married since 2001
Hobbies/Interests - Whatever my daughter is into, spending family time with her and dh, sewing and knitting, reading, bargain hunting
Favorite Children's Book - Richard Scary's Best Story Book Ever (I think thats what its called- I had it when I was a kid- its yellow with a lion on the front, and has a bunch of different stories in it)
Best Parenting Tip - Dont burn yourself out trying to be Supermom. If you need help, ASK- whether that's getting a sitter or reading up on a subject (I happen to have LOTS of resources on strong willed children, LOL)
Best Marriage Advice - Honor and respect your mate. Be a team. Put your marriage ahead of your children.
Best Household Tip - Dont take my household advice!! I'm an expert at what doesnt work!
Best Money Saving Tip - Dont buy anything that isnt on sale- everything goes on sale eventually
How you found Hearts at Home or the Board - It was listed in the back of a parenting book
