Thank you

I think he knows where his thumb is. He just doesn't really prefer it. In fact, he doesn't take paci's that often either. Just when he's "frustrated" (think: just had to have the nasal aspirator, diaper changed, fussy) and then he sucks on that paci like he's going to work out all his frustrations on it, and looks like he's concentrating. It's really funny.

Is it bad that his little cries are so cute they make me laugh? I feel like a horrible parent for laughing when he's crying because he doesn't want his diapers changed. He sobs and then draws his breath in and it goes "wooot!"

He's starting to find his lungs now. And not crying as much with diaper changes.

No, it's not bad at all. I often thought my babies' cries were so cute. My oldest DD thought it was funny that I'd make fun of them (not in a mean-spirited way, just thought they were cute). Hey, it was either that or go crazy sometimes.

I can tell you enjoy being a mommy. I know I've said it before, but I am so happy for you and your DH! God gave you a beautiful baby boy.
