Any helpful hints? I've been thinking of listing some books. I have a few (possibly dumb) questions.
Do you figure out shipping or does Amazon's site do that for you? Do you keep mailing envelopes on hand? Recycle them? How do you figure how much to sell your item for? Research, I suppose? Do you use paypal? What is your turn around time for sending out your packages? Have you had any luck with it? I'm not looking to make big $$, just to weed out some books and make more than half price books has been giving me. ![]() Anything else I should know? |

Half.com actually gives you a shipping allowance. Most of the time the actual cost of shipping is less than what they allow so you make a little extra.
They will send you an email when something has sold with the address to ship it to and usually give you about 3 days to ship it. I've had to go past that once (out of town) and just emailed the buyer. When you enter the upc it'll bring up your product and let you know what the average price is and what the last selling price was. It's simple. They deposit the $ (paypal) 2x month!

I sold several textbooks on half . com too and it was super easy. I looked up to see what the same books were selling for and listed mine around the same price. It really was so easy. I would certainly do it again!
